HOISINGTON — The Hoisington Middle School track team hosted its invitational meet on Thursday and won three of the four divisions as the seventh-grade girls and boys along with the eighth-grade girls all claimed first place.
The eighth-grade boys finished in third place.
Hays-Kennedy, Larned, Pratt-Liberty, Ellsworth, Hoisington, and Dodge City Sacred Heart all competed.
The seventh-grade girls scored 219 points. Dodge City took second place, earning 65 points.
In the 75-meter hurdles it was Hoisington’s Rylie Koester who took first place, Melissa Stout took second, Besa Bwalya finished in third and Marisa Jonas took fifth place.
In the seventh-grade boys division, Steffan Dolechek won the hurdles and Austin Michaelis took sixth place.
Cameron Richter won the 100 and the 200 dashes.
Abbi Demel represented the eighth-grade girls, winning the hurdles while Alyson Klug finished in second place.
Jordan Moore claimed third place in the 100 dash.
In the eighth-grade boys division, Nolan McCurry broke the school record in long jump with a jump of 18 feet, 9 1/2 inches for first place.
K.C. Stephens took first in the hurdles. Nolan McCurry won the 100, 200, and 400 dashes.
