HALSTEAD — No. 7 state-ranked 3A Halstead secured third place as Kaleigh O'Brien scored 17 points and Karenna Gerber scored 16 points as the Dragons rolled past Larned 55-18 in Tuesday's Central Kansas League basketball game.

Eden Evers led Larned (0-19, 0-9 CKL) with six points and Kendra Grandy added five points.

HOISINGTON 57, LYONS 43

LYONS — Hot-shooting Hoisington rolled past Lyons with eight 3-pointers to beat the Lions 57-43 in Tuesday's Central Kansas League basketball game. Keeley Wolf converted four 3-pointers and scored 18 points. Samantha Colson scored a career high 12 points and Kelsi Dalton added 11 points.

Hoiisington's Suzanna Schneider and Wolf each hit a pair of first-half 3-pointers. Wolf added two more 3-pointers and Addy Mason converted a pair of second-half 3-pointers. The Cardinals (6-14, 3-6 CKL) ride a two-game winning streak to 3A postseason play. The Cardinals outscored the Lions 34-20 after halftime.

Lyons (8-12, 1-8 CKL) was paced by Kristina Head with 21 points.
