Larned golfers compete

HUTCHINSON — Larned’s Hunter Barker tied for 15th-medalist honors (48-50—98) at Monday’s Nickerson Invitational Golf Tournament at Crazy Horse Golf Course. The southwest wind blew 15-24 mph with a high of 58 degrees.

Larned (452) placed eighth with Reed McNett (106), Collin Ayre (113) and Theron Wray (135) also counting. 

Cheney (339) captured the team title with Sterling (376) placing runner-up. Cheney’s Dylan Freund (40-40—80) earned medalist honors over Pratt’s Zach Vandervoort (39-41—80) in a scorecard tiebreaker.
