cassie manry
Larned Indian No. 2 singles Cassie Manry places first.

The varsity will likely be made up of Cassie, Lauren, Keirstin, Maggie, with Jozlyn, Leah, and Faith competing for the final spot.

Cassie Manry will likely be playing #1 singles but the rest of the lineup has not been finalized yet.  The girls have been working hard so far this season and are looking forward to beginning competition.

Head Coach: Mark Lessard (19th year)

Assistant Coach: Matt Sleder (4th year)

Why did Bailey miss regionals after 26-3 doubles record last year? Isabella Bailey was injured at the League tournament and had to miss the remainder of the season.  Maggie Haas filled in as Reese Watkins' doubles partner at regional.

What are goals for the 2024 season for CKL and regionals?

This year is a rebuilding year since we lost our top five players from last year.  Cassie Manry, Maggie Haas, and Lauren Sleder will play pivotal roles in our success this season.

Larned captured a share of the Central Kansas League title with Hesston last year.

Larned’s CKL runner-up Abigail Holt (31-6) gradated after back-to-back state appearances. Cassie Manry (24-4) lost 8-6 to Sterling’s Danika Bingle-Zimmerman at regionals. Maggie Haas/Reese Watkins finished 1-2 at regionals, beating Sterling’s Jaiden Jaeger/Emil Wellman, before losing 6-1, 6-0 to Ellsworth’s Rey Coonrod/Inarie Rippert and 6-4, 6-1 to Hesston’s Jaiden Callahan/Caroline Yoder.

No. 2 singles Manry placed runner-up in the Central Kansas League with  6-3, 6-2 loss to Pratt’s Kate Jackson. No. 2 doubles Isabella Bailey/Reese Watkins finished runner-up at CKL with a 6-2, 6-4 loss to Hesston’s Callahan/Yoder.
