Indian softball loses pair

LARNED – The Bucklin/South Central softball team (18-2) ended Larned’s regular season with a 6-4 and 16-6 softball doubleheader sweep Thursday.

BUCKLIN/SC 6, INDIANS 4 (G1) – Bucklin’s Halie Feikert hit a 3-run homer to Natalie Dale and Emalea Warden to spark a 6-4 victory. Bucklin’s Sydnie Jones scored twice on errors. Warden stole home for the final run.

Clara Shaver singled home Emma Thompson and scored on an error. Thompson’s single scored Autumn Pate. Sophia Skelton doubled and stole home.

BUCKLIN/SC 16, INDIANS 6 (G2) – Bucklin’s Tory Maris drove in three runs to spark the Red Aces.

Larned’s Thompson, Camryn Ettleman and Madison Reinert drove home runs. Thompson and Ettleman both singled home Kiana Meyer. Madison Reinert singled home Shaver.

Karley Lemuz scored twice on errors and Ettleman scored on an error.
