BUCKLIN – Larned’s softball team (3-1) continues an impressive spring with a split against Bucklin. The Indians downed Bucklin 14-3 in the opener. Bucklin won the nightcap 17-13.

LARNED 14, BUCKLIN 3 (G1) – Larned’s Kenzie Reinert drilled a grand slam homer and drove home five runs to spark the Indians.

Emma Thompson drove home two runs. Teagan Walker, Kiana Meyer, Karley Lemuz and Madison Reinert also drove in runs.

Pitcher Madison Wood (3-0) struck out six batters in five innings.

BUCKLIN 17, LARNED 13 (G2) – Larned’s Teagan Walker enjoyed a career game with three hits and six runs batted in. Bucklin used a 7-run sixth inning for a 17-13 victory after trailing 9-7. Alexa Ryersee drove in two runs. Kenzie Reinert, Emma Thompson, Kiana Meyer, Karley Lemuz and Madison Reinert drove home runs.

Larned yielded 11 walks and committed six errors that led to eight unearned runs.

Bucklin’s Halie Feikert homered and drove home four runs. Sydnie Jones doubled twice and drove home four runs.
