LARNED – Isiah Perez started overtime with a 3-pointer and Larned converted seven free throws in the extra period for a 63-55 Central Kansas League basketball victory.
Larned (12-5, 5-3 CKL) was led by Trevor Meyer with 16 points and Perez added 13 points and a key assist to Jordan Zimmerman in overtime.
Sterling’s Kenan Comley sent the game to overtime on a 35-foot 3-pointer for a 51-51 tie. Both teams scored 20 points in the fourth period. Sterling (10-7, 4-4 CKL) was paced by Kenan Comley with 30 points.
“It was a great basketball game,” said Larned coach Don Zimmerman. “We had a lot of guys play well, which we need. Everyone contributed. We attacked the basket and that’s when we play our best.”
