Registration is open for the Fifth Annual Storm Co-ed Benefit Softball Tournament, which will be held on July 27-28 at Veterans Memorial Park.
Entry fee is $135 per team. Proceeds from the tournament go toward covering expenses for the Golden Belt area Special Olympics team, the Storm, which competes in events throughout the year.
For another $5, players can compete in a home run derby, and concessions will be available throughout the tournament.
The tournament will be played by Amateur Softball Association rules.
Tournament organizer Patty Halseth is also looking for more sponsors for the benefit tournament. Sponsorships range from $100-$750 and include t-shirt and poster recognition.
The $750 sponsorships also include banner recognition on one of four dugouts being used during the tournament.
