The Great Bend Recreation Commission is playing host to an American Softball Association girls fast-pitch softball Region 6 Tournament on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Park softball fields and Brit Spaugh South ballpark. 
Fifteen teams will be participating in this state qualifier tournament from the communities of Hays, Goodland, Grainfield, Great Bend, Lyons, Garden City, Hoisington, Colby, Dodge City, Winfield and Concordia. 
Games begin at 9:30 a.m. at Brit Spaugh South and at 10 at the Veterans Park ballpark.
Area teams participating are the Hoisington Heat and the Great Bend Quicksilver.
