Quicksilver capture second in Derby

16-and-under Softball

The Quicksilver 16-and-under softball team placed second at the Wichita Shootout in Derby last weekend. The Quicksilver went 3-2-1 in the tournament, falling to the Kansas Elite in pool play 14-2. The Quicksilver beat the Elite 7-5 in bracket play, but lost 5-4 in the final championship game of the double-elimination tournament.
