Macksville inbounded and got a timeout at halfcourt. The Mustangs executed perfectly for the tying basket and outscored Larned 6-1 in overtime for the win.

“We got unlucky when they banked in the three but that’s not why we lost," said Larned coach Jerrod Smith. "We turned the ball over a number of times going down the stretch with a lead. We should have been able to put the game away when we had a chance."

Larned led 8-5 after the first quarter, 14-13 at halftime and 25-21 entering the fourth quarter but Macksville outscored Larned 12-8 in the fourth to get the game to overtime.
