Baker University head tennis coach Joe Ahmadian has announced the signing of Morgan Francis to play tennis for the Baker Wildcats in Baldwin City. Morgan is a senior at Great Bend High School and the daughter of John and Nancy Francis.
“We are very excited to have Morgan at Baker next year. She will not only be a valuable member of the team but a valuable member on our campus as a whole. I have no doubt Morgan will thrive on and off the court over the next couple of years, coach Ahmadian said.
“I can’t wait to start the next chapter of my life at Baker University. I couldn’t be happier that I have the opportunity to play tennis and continue working on my game,” Morgan said.
Francis was named WAC player of the year in 2012 and 2014 as well as being a state qualifier all 4 years. Morgan now is 2nd for all time best winning percentage in singles and 5th for the best winning percentage for her career. She has the record for the 2nd most career wins with 122.
