ST. JOHN – Central Plains quarterback Myles Menges completed four first-quarter touchdown passes as the No. 2 ranked Oilers rolled past St. John 46-0 in Eight-Man 1, District 5.

Receiver Brett Liebl enjoyed a breakout game with touchdown receptions of 25, 31 and 34 yards for a 22-0 lead.

Lawson Oeser caught a 6-yard touchdown pass. Devin Ryan scored on a 59-yard punt return and Mason Doll added a touchdown run.  

Central Plains (5-0, 2-0 District) held the Tigers (0-5, 0-2 District) to 12 rushing yards. Devin Ryan intercepted a pass. Grant Heldstab had nine tackles, four for loss. Jerred Bieberle had seven tackles.

 OTIS-BISON 58, MINNEOLA 12

MINNEOLA – Otis-Bison quarterback Anton Foust completed three touchdown passes and scored two touchdowns to spark the Cougars past Minneola 58-12 in Eight-Man 2, District 8.

The Cougars (4-1, 4-o District) scored on all three touchdown completions and converted four touchdowns on seven running plays. Seth Hoopingarner caught 23- and 51-yard scores and Maitland Wiltse snared a 35-yard touchdown pass.

Foust’s first kickoff was returned for a 76-yard score by Jeremy Pfaff, but Foust returned the favor with a 56-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to end the ballgame.

Tailback Bevan Gradig scored on 30- and 61-yard runs on his two rushing attempts.

Gradig garnered seven tackles. Luke Higgason had six tackles, three for loss. Hunter Mitchell had six tackles.

MACKSVILLE 34, MOUNDRIDGE 18

MOUNDRIDGE — Macksville’s Karson Waters scored two touchdowns and had three takeaways to spark the Mustangs past Moundridge 34-18 in Eight-Man 1, District 5. Waters scored on an interception return, picked off two passes and recovered a fumble. Waters caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Kody Mead.

Halfback Skyler Evans scored two touchdowns and rushed for a career high 187 yards. The Mustangs (3-2, 2-0 District) rushed for 255 yards. Mead added a rushing touchdown. Macksville’s Zane Johnson contributed 20 tackles and Evans and Harley Blaske each had 13 tackles. 

Moundridge back Cody Hazelton scored on a 65-yard kickoff return and added 40- and 45-yard touchdown runs. Hazelton gained 240 total yards.

STAFFORD — Stafford’s Caleb Hildebrand scored five touchdowns and rushed for 194 yards to lead the Trojans past 

Ingalls 70-20 in Eight Man 2, District 8. The Trojans outscored Ingalls 50-12 in the second half.

Stafford quarterback Justice Manning rushed for 138 yards and four touchdowns. Stafford (4-1, 3-1 District) rushed for 362 yards on 56 attempts.
