Panthers swimmers place third

HAYSVILLE – Great Bend’s girls posted 19 season-best times while placing third (377 points) at Thursday’s Campus Swimming Invitational. The Panthers earned six third-place finishes.

Josephine Mazouch placed third in the 50-yard freestyle (*27.81) and 100 freestyle (*1;02.53). Ellyson Somers earned third-place medals in the 100-yard breaststroke (*1:19.48) and 100-yard butterfly (*1:09.24).

Great Bend’s 200-yard freestyle relay (1:51.3) placed third with Mazouch, Kamryn Johns, Somers and Emilee Hall. The 400 freestyle relay placed third (4:26.52) with Hall, Johns, Mazouch and Somers.

Winfield (577) placed first followed by Campus (415).
