Panther tennis competes at Hays

HAYS – Great Bend scored 22 points to finish fifth at the Hays Tennis Invitational. Hays (36) placed first followed by Liberal (26), Phillipsburg (25) and Salina South (24)

No. 1 doubles Brendyn Schroeder/ Jordan Manning finished 3-2 with losses against Hays 8-5 and Salina South 8-6.

No. 1 singles Marcos Castanon (1-4) beat a Hays player. No. 2 singles Jacob Parks (3-2) beat a pair of Hays players 8-2 and Salina South 8-6.

No. 2 doubles Kaden Dienes/Cameron Harbaugh defeated Liberal 8-5 and Phillipsburg 8-3 for a 2-3 record.

Great Bend plays at Dodge City April 20.
