Pawnee Heights girls earn first state berth

PAWNEE HEIGHTS GIRLS 39, WILSON 31 – Pawnee Heights 6-3 standout Olivia Hands dominated the paint with 25 points to spark the Tigers past Wilson in the 1A Division 2 Ransom basketball substate. The Tigers outscored Wilson 23-14 after halftime. The Tigers (9-13) qualify for the state tournament at Great Bend for the first time in Pawnee Heights school history.

Wilson’s Anna Thielen scored 11 points.
