HOISINGTON— Hunter Hanzlick recorded 12 carries for 164 yards and a touchdown as the Cardinals downed Hillsboro in a 76-6 routing.
The victory improves Hoisington to 4-0 which is the best start for the Cardinals since the 2006 season when Hoisington won their first seven games and finished the season at 9-2.
Quarterback Tyler Specht threw a perfect seven for seven for 163 and four touchdown strikes. Steffan Dolechek collected three receptions for 81 yards and two scores. Dolechek also nailed down two interceptions while Rudy Gearhart, Hanzlick and Braxton Donovan recorded a pick each in the victory.
The Cardinals coasted to a 62-0 lead at the half. Hillsboro scored their only six points of the evening in the third quarter on a five-yard toss and trailed Hoisington 68-6. The Cardinals would nail down the hatch with a 12-point attack in the closing quarter for the 76-6 win.
The Cardinals will host Kingman next Friday.

CLAFLIN— The Oilers made quick work of visiting St. John Friday. After a 40-0 lead at the end of the first period CPHS went on a 20-0 run in the second quarter and glided to a 62-0 victory over the Tigers.
Braedan Crites scored just 21 seconds into the opening quarter on a 34-yard keeper while Jacob Warnken tacked on the PAT. A bad snap on the ensuing possession by the Tigers led to a safety.
The win moves Central Plains to 3-1 on the season while St. John falls to 0-4.

Otis-Bison-56, Kinsley-0
KINSLEY— It’s been the school of hard knocks for the Kinsley Coyotes in 2015. Kinsley has been outscored 218-0 this season following a 56-0 shutout loss to visiting Otis-Bison Friday.
The Cougars put up a 26-0 lead through the first quarter.
Quarterback Kade Urban completed all three of his passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Backup QB Brandon Keller threw once on a 23-yard scoring strike to Hayden Maier. Brad Lightfoot ran four times for 76 yards and a touchdown. In the receiving department Nick Higgason recorded a pair of receptions for 39 yards and two touchdowns.
The Cougars improve to 4-0 on the season.

South Barber-26, Stafford-20
KIOWA— Following a 6-0 deficit at the end of the first quarter Stafford knotted the game at the half on a 12-6 run Friday against South Barber. Both teams put up an eight point attack to tie the game at 20 heading to the fourth period.
The Cheftains were able to use a 6-0 run in the final quarter to put away Stafford for the 26-20 South Barber victory.
Josh Harter led the running game for the Trojans with 13 carries for 128 yards and a touchdown.
Stafford falls to 2-2 on the season.

MACKSVILLE— The Eagles moved to 3-1 on the season following Friday night’s 46-0 shutout victory over Macksville. Details from Friday’s victory were not available at press time.
