Macksville beats South Central 40-20

COLDWATER — Quarterback Seth Filbert continues to lead Macksville, throwing for 217 yards and three touchdowns in the Mustangs’ win on Friday night.
However, Filbert did throw  a par of interceptions.
Adam Oak ran for 82 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, Tanner Tranbarger led Macksville (4-0 overall, 2-0 district) with nine solo tackles and an interception.

KENSINGTON — The Otis-Bison High School football team gave up 330 rushing yards in its loss to Thunder Ridge.
Joel Struckhoff led the Longhorns with 206 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
Dylan Wissman led the Cougars, rushing for 96 yards, but Patrick Piper scored all three Otis-Bison touchdowns.

LARNED — Larned quarterback Easton Palmer threw for 115 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in the Indians loss on Friday night.
Chad Wallace led Larned (0-4) with 92 yards and one touchdown.

Hoisington 13

HOISINGTON — The Ulysses defense held Hoisington in check, forcing five turnovers and holding Cardinals running back Hagan Hanzlick to 88 yards on Friday night.
Hoisington quarterback Derrick Kaiser completed 13 of 36 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns, but threw four interceptions and lost one fumble.
Cardinals (2-2) leading receiver Cody Stetler scored two touchdowns and had 68 yards.

The Trojans combined for 279 rushing yards with Tristin Paulsen leading the team with 78.
Ethan Johnson scored three touchdowns for Stafford (1-3).

HAVEN — One week after being taken out of the game because of an injury, Patrick Ringering scored two touchdowns in Ellinwood’s loss on Friday.
Ringering scored on an 11-yard run, giving the Eagles (1-3) an 8-0 lead. He also scored on an 88-yard kickoff return.

CLAFLIN — Central Plains led 48-0 after the first quarter in a game that was called after the first half due to the 45-point rule on Friday night.
The Oilers were led by Nick Schepmann, who rushed for 98 yards and three touchdowns.
Benn Kirmer added four touchdowns, three rushing and one fumble return.
