LINCOLN – Central Plains’ Taylor Rolfs scored 27 points and Reagan Phelan scored 11 points as the Oilers beat Nickerson 60-21 in the Amos Morris George Stephens Classic. Nickerson stunned the Oilers with a 6-0 lead before the Oilers scored 21 points in a row. Rolfs had 19 points at halftime en route to a 35-8 lead.
The defending tournament champion Oilers play Russell in Friday’s 4 p.m. semifinal. The Oilers ran the ball perfectly and forced 26 Panther turnovers.

LINCOLN – Michael Ryan scored 20 points as Central Plains rolled past Nickerson 73-35 in the Amso Morris George Stephens Classic. Brady Rugan and Jacob Warnken each added 11 points. The defending tournament champion Oilers play Plainville in Friday’s 5:30 p.m. semifinal. The Oilers led 48-12 at halftime behind excellent passing and ball movement.
Braden Stewart led Nickerson with 14 points.
