Great Bend High School (6-0, plus 102 points) would be projected to be the third western seed after six weeks of Class 5A high school football. The Panthers wind down the regular season at Liberal Friday and against Garden City Oct. 21.
After eight games, Class 5A teams will be seeded for the first week of the playoffs in week nine.
Valley Center (6-0, plus 116) and Wichita Heights (6-0, plus 105) are also unbeaten on the western side of the bracket.
