East Div. 2 All-Stars roll 50-12

BELOIT — Hutchinson Central Christian’s Nate Heneha rushed for three touchdowns and Beloit St. John’s Ty Hammer threw for three touchdowns to spark the East past the West 50-12 in Saturday’s 8-Man D2 All-Star Football Game. The East scored 50 consecutive points after trailing 6-0.
Otis-Bison’s Daniel Scott, Blake Bahr and Landon Hoopingarner played for the West.
Dighton’s Isaac Torson recovered a fumble and Hodgeman County’s Jacob Salmans scored on a 14-yard run for a 6-0 lead.
Heneha scored on a six-yard TD to tie the game at 6-6. Pike Valley’s Davante’ Hammer connected with Hanover’s Kevin Diederich on a 21-yard TD pass. Hammer added a 2-pointer for a 14-6 lead. Hammer completed a 12-yard TD pass to St. John’s Tipton’s Ty Brummer. Heneha converted the 2-pointer for a 22-6 lead. Heneha added a 6-yard TD for a 28-6 halftime lead,
Pleasanton’s Tayler George intercepted a pass that set up Hammer’s 5-yard TD pass to Hanover’s Brennan Zabokrtsky for a 34-6 lead. Heneha completed a 26-yard TD pass to Wakefield’s Shane Jackson and Hammer added the 2-pointer for a 42-6 lead. Heneha scored on a 17-yard TD and passed to Brummer for a 50-6 lead.
Salmans completed a 24-yard TD strike to Hodgeman County teammate Trevor Morgan to finish the scoring.
The East Division 2 stars lead the series 11-7.
