Complete class 2A results

WICHITA— The 4x800 relay team of McKenna Rugan, Joanna Strecker, Cailey Carmen and Abbie Reichuber reeled in a second place finish in the girls 4x800 relay finals at Saturday’s state championships. The quad polled a time of 10:19.89 to win the silver.

In the 4x400 meter relay, McKenna, Bailey Baird, Anna Fisher and Carmen placed fourth in 4:14.33.

In other girls running events, Reichuber took third in the 3200 meter run in a time of 11:54. Joanna Strecker placed in the top ten with an eighth place slot in the 800 meter race clocking in at 2:27.72.

In field events, Madelyn Hays placed ninth in the javelin throw at 112-07 while Cassandra Dimitt finished 13th in the same event with a throw of 110-05.

In the boys division, sophomore high jumper Tate Fisher had a top ten finish with a 5-10 vertical good for ninth place. Destin Baker, Avery Pike, Jacob Kasselman and Morgan Feemster placed 14th in the 4x800 in 9:05.86.
