Bryce Hofmeister, a sophomore at Dodge City Community College, will move on to the next level of his collegiate football career as the former Panther will become a Tiger this fall at Ft. Hays State University.
Hofmeister recorded 66 tackles in 2014 for the Conquistadors. He posted three stops for yards lost, eight pass deflections, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a pair of kick returns for 67 yards.
Hofmeister was a standout his senior season at GBHS posting 76 tackles, four forced fumbles, an interception, five pass deflections, nine rushes for 150 yards and two touchdowns. At the end of his senior campaign, Hofmeister totaled 416 yards on kick returns off of 18 attempts and averaged 23.1 yards per return.
Ft. Hays State is an NCAA Division II institution and a member of the 14-team Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. The Tigers finished 2014 with a 7-4 season record and will kickoff 2015 at Central Oklahoma on September 3.
