GBHS struggles at home invite

Great Bend High School girls’ golf team hosted the Western Athletic Conference schools for a golf invitational on Tuesday.
The five teams competed at the Club at StoneRidge, and Hays came out on top.
The Indians combined for a 189 on the day.
Garden City placed second just two strokes behind.
The following three places were determined by two strokes. Dodge City (228) came in third, Liberal (229) placed fourth and Great Bend (230) finished in fifth.
Garden City’s Danielle Gaspar won the individual title, hitting a 42.
Great Bend had one golfer make the Top 10.
Kacee Kasselman carded a 50 to tie for eighth place. After a playoff, Kasselman finished in ninth.
Hannah Mauler shot a 54.
Allison Neeland finished with a 60, Michaela Cape shot a 66 and Halley Sanders carded a 75.
