HAYS — The Great Bend Middle School volleyball teams won two of three matches Monday.
The eighth-grade team defeated Garden City Ken Henderson Middle School and Scott City, but lost to Garden City Horace Good Middle School. The seventh-grade volleyball team also finished with a 2-1 record.
“We seemed to lose our focus against Horace Good, which is by far the best competition we have faced this year,” said coach Michelle Barber. “The girls never really got into their groove.”
Coach Morgan Hoffman once again pleased with the play of the B-Team girls.
“The girls continue to improve each outing. We just need to continue fixing the little things.”
The eighth-graders improve their record to 10-1 and the seventh-graders improve to 9-2.
Great Bend Middle School returns home today where the Lady Panthers will meet Horace Good, Dodge City and Abilene starting at 4 p.m. at the middle school.
