La Crosse 35

CLAFLIN — After one quarter, the Claflin High School girls’ basketball team led by two, but a 20-point second quarter set the Lady Wildcats apart from La Crosse, leading them to a victory on Friday night.
Claflin, which is ranked No. 5 in Class 1A Division-I in the latest Kansas Basketball Coaches Association poll, was led by Courtney Liebl, who put in 12 points.
The Lady Wildcats, who had 11 players contribute points in the game, had nine from Morgan Hekele.
Ashlee Maier, Janae Hekel, Katie Hipp and Jennifer Hitschmann each added eight points.

ELLINWOOD — After two quarters, the game was knotted at 12, but Hoisington eked out a two-point lead in the third quarter and extended it in teh fourth to win on Friday night.
The Lady Cardinals were led by Mallory Flagor, who scored 12 points. Jordin Greer added eight.
Lauren Thill scored a game-high 13 points to lead the Lady Eagles.

OTIS — For the first three quarters, Otis-Bison amassed a 6-point lead that was just enough to weather an 11-point fourth quarter from Ness City on Friday night.
The Lady Cougars were led by Janel Tammen, who scored 14 points.
Anndrea Kraisinger and Hannah Bannister each added four points.
