The Great Bend Middle School 7th-grade boys basketball team split their games against Dodge City Middle School Thursday.
The Great Bend A team dropped a 35-21 game to Dodge City despite good effort and hustle, but key shots did not fall for the Panthers. Sage Koelsch led the Panthers with six points.
The Great Bend B team roared to a 6-0 lead and edged to a 24-20 victory. Angel Razo scored six points. Every time, it looked like the B team was going to break the game wide open, the Cardinals closed the gap. The Panthers travel to Holcomb Monday.
