Liberal Eisenhower Middle School defeated the Great Bend eighth-grade football team 50-8 last week.
Great Bend was down 26-0 when Miguel Martinez scored on a 10-yard run. Mason Miranda added the 2-point conversion run, which capped a 74 yard drive.
GBMS tallied 101 yards on the ground led by Miranda with 74 yards. Martinez was 2 for 2 passing for 14 yards, both to Caden Bieker. Defensively, Miranda and Broc Reed were the leading tacklers.
Great Bend Middle School returns home Thursday against Liberal South with a 5:30 p.m. kickoff at Memorial Stadium.
