Great Bend Middle School girls sweep Garden City
GBMS basketball
Great Bends Allyson Kaiser is fouled by a Garden City Ken Henderson player.

In a basketball game that featured several lead changes, the Great Bend Middle School girls B basketball game came down to the wire against Garden City Ken Henderson Middle School.
Jordan Turner hit a basket to give her the team the lead 26-24. Seconds later, Yulisa Valdez converted a layup after a steal for a 28-24 victory. The Lady Panthers (7-0) are halfway done with their season.
Capitalizing on the energy from the B team, the Great Bend A team stepped its game against the Ken Henderson Eagles for a 29-7 victory. The Panthers (6-3) have won four consecutive games.
“We are really figuring things out defensively,” said Great Bend coach Kyle Jeffrey. “If we can get some confidence at the line and from the field, we will be hard to stop. Everyone has figured out their role and things are starting to click.”
