NICKERSON GIRLS 46, HOISINGTON 39 
Madison Ontjes drilled six 3-pointers to spark nine 3-pointers by the Panthers in a Central Kansas League basketball game. Ontjes converted five 3-pointers the first half.
Sophie Mader added 14 points for Nickerson (8-6, 5-1 CKL). The Panthers took control with a 15-4 scoring run for a 26-15 lead.
Scrappy Hoisington was paced by Jocelynn Pedigo with 17 points and solid inside play against Nickerson’s trio of 6-foot players. Maleigha Schmidt and Iris Suarez each scored eight points. The Cardinals (6-9, 2-3 CKL) outscored the Panthers 12-7 in the fourth quarter.

Hoisington’s Drew Nicholson scored 21 points and the Cardinals iced a Central Kansas League basketball game with free throws down the stretch against Nickerson. Mason Haxton (18) and Isaac Prosser (10) scored in double figures for the Cardinals (6-9, 2-3 CKL). Prosser grabbed seven rebounds. Haxton dished out five assists and had two steals. Xavier Robinson had two steals.
Nicholson hit a key 3-pointer and followed with a rebound basket for a 50-44 lead. Nicholson and Avery Brewer iced the win with free throws as the Cardinals made nine of 10. The Cardinals used a 23-4 scoring run for a 23-7 lead and held off Nickerson’s rally the rest of the night.
Nickerson (3-11, 0-6 CKL) was paced by Hunter Jones with 21 points and T.J. Powell with 13 points. The Panthers made a season high nine 3-pointers.

Macksville’s Jacob Rein (19), Kaleb Lickiss (15) and Kody Mead (14) scored in double figures as the Mustangs raced past Victoria 59-30 in a Central Prairie League basketball game. Brandon Ibarra had five assists. Kreed Parr had four assists and four steals. Rein had three steals.
Macksville (11-4, 4-2 CPL) led 16-4 after one quarter and 32-10 at halftime.

Victoria’s Emily Sterling drilled five 3-pointers and scored 21 points as the Knights rolled past Macksville 53-31 in Friday’s Central Prairie League basketball game.
Macksville (7-8, 3-3 CPL) was led by Lyset Ibarra with 12 points. The Mustangs were outscored 19-1 in the third quarter. Denise Galan grabbed eight rebounds. Jenna Russell had four steals and Lyset Ibarra had two steals and two assists.
