NICKERSON— Sydney Boxberger fired a score of 49 and placed seventh to help lead the Hoisington girls golf team to a second place finish at the 11-team Nickerson Invitational Tuesday.

Delaney Smith was a top 10 medalist with a score of 52 good for tenth place while Karisa Schremmer, Jaci Schremmer and Madie Wilborn placed in the top 20.

As a team the Cardinals finished with a score of 206 just two points behind tournament champion Andale.

The Cardinals will compete at Medicine Lodge on Tuesday, September 8.
