Larned High School boasts a pair of Class 4A All-State selections by the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches.
Brady Keith was a first-team selection, and Easton Palmer was voted into the second team.
Keith, one of four outfielders on the first team, played center field for the Indians, who finished 15-5 after a 10-2 loss against Pratt in a regional semifinal game.
He is joined by Todd Kane of Colby, Tyler Bugner of Andale and Jonny Hodges of DeSoto.
Keith finished the season with a batting average of .481 with 26 hits. He had 24 RBIs. He also had two triples, three doubles and 11 walks.
He led the team in on-base percentage at .608.
Palmer, a shortstop, had an average of .459 at the plate.
He tied with Landon Erway with a team-leading seven doubles. He had four triples and drew 15 walks.
Palmer also pitched in 10 games for the Indians. He finished the season with a 2.02 ERA.
Nathan Gieber of Concordia was selected at Pitcher of the Year.
Spring Hill’s Zach Girrens was Player of the Year.
Mark Percy of Iola was Coach of the Year.
Iola was state runner-up after losing to Topeka-Hayden 6-4.
Indians place two on KABC all-state team
Class 4A Baseball
