PRATT — A 29-15 lead after the first half was all St. John-Hudson High School’s girls’ basketball team needed to beat Maize South 43-30 in a semifinal game of the Pratt Girls’ Tournament of Champions on Friday night.
Morgan Osborne scored 20 points for her second-straight 20-plus game. She finished with seven rebounds and four assists, leading the Lady Tigers (12-0) in both categories.
Jamie Waters added 11 points for St. John, which is ranked No. 3 in Class 1A Division-I in the latest Kansas Basketball Coaches Association poll.

Cunningham rallied to take a 30-29 lead into the final quarter, but the Lady Mustangs (3-8) regained the lead for the win in a consolation bracket game of the 54 Girls’ Basketball Classic.
Karissa Langlois scored five of her team-leading 11 points in the final eight minutes.
Macksville forward Tara Bunker matched Langlois with 11 points.
