RUSSELL — Larned’s girls tennis team stayed red hot with first-place at Thursday’s Russell Invitational with 28 points, four ahead of Osborne.
No. 2 singles Kristin Anderson and No. 2 doubles Abby kelty and Ali Leiker placed first with 3-0 records. Anderson defeated Osborne’s Olivia Engler 8-3 for first place. Kelty and Leiker defeated Philliupsburg’s Jocelyn Gibson and MacKinzie Martin, 8-3 in the championship match.
Larned’s No. 1 singles Amanda Lessard finished fourth with an 8-0 loss to Osborne’s Erin Leivan. No. 1 doubles Macy Haas and Katelyn Sanger finished second with a 8-6 loss in the championship match to Osborne’sBretton Wolters and Savannah Noel.
