Larneds Kolby Keith (172) and Max Easley (148) placed first in the Class 3A state powerlifting championship. DeShaun Clark placed first in the power weight division.

CONWAY SPRINGS — Larned’s Max Easley (148), Kolby Keith (172) and De’Shaun Clark (285) earned first place and the Indians were runner-up to Conway Springs April 1 in the Class 3A state powerlifting chamnpionship.
Easley lifted 845 pounds (345 squat; 235 bench; 300 clean). Keith lifted 970 pounds (410 squat; 260 bench; 300 clean). Clark lifted 1,140 pounds (455 squat; 370 bench; 315 clean).
Fourth-place finisher Marcus Nolde (132) placed first in the bench (230) to capture his fourth consecutive bench press state title in his weight division.
Third-place finisher Josh East (156) placed first in the clean. Wesley Davis (198) placed first in the clean (320). Kelton Barrett (220) placed first in the bench (295).
Larned’s powerlifting coaches are Tad Remy and Mike Hensley.
