MAIZE — Maize’s amazing Mikalya Toth scored seven goals and dished out three assists to spark the Eagles past Great Bend 11-1 in Tuesday’s Class 5A soccer regional. The game ended at halftime on the 10-goal rule.
Great Bend’s Alondra Garcia scored tjhe Panthers’ first-half goal. Great Bend ends with a 4-11-2 record.
Maize (13-3) advances to Thursday’s regional final against Valley Center (11-4-1).
