Neeland medals a personal best at Hutch meet

HUTCHINSON— Allison Neeland fired a 91 for a personal best and a 16th place finish at Thursday’s golf invite at Hutchinson. Two other Panther golfers finished the day with personal bests as Halley Sanders shot 102. Mikayla Bownes finished a stroke behind at 103 while Taylor Hommertzheim shot 104. Kaily Griffith shot a personal best 105 while Brooklyn Burkhart and Carly Dreiling shot scores of 121 and 129.

As a team the Panthers scored a season best 400 placing ninth out of 18 teams in competition.

“We had a great day to play at Carey Park,” said coach Travis McAtee. “The girls are trending in the right direction as we move toward regional and we’re excited about the possibility of qualifying for state.”
