Great Bend’s Keaton Sander (138) is ranked third in Class 5A. Gage Fritz (145) is ranked fourth in 5A. He’ll meet a state-ranked wrestler in third-ranked Curtis Near (145).
Sander needs five pins for the career record for pins and seven pins for the single-season record for pins held by Cody Liles single season (23) and career (65).
Fritz needs three takedowns to beat C. Gowdy’s single-season takedown record of 68 in 1994.
Buffaloes Zeke Herrera (195) and Benny Hernandez (285) are top-ranked in 6A. Jacob Holt (113) and Jesse Nunez (182) are ranked second in 6A. Silas Pineda (106), Kai Perez (126) and Near. Buffalo Quinton LaPointe is ranked sixth.
