Following a 2-0 run by the opposition, Great Bend used a free kick by junior Alondra Garcia late in the first half and sophomore Araceli Delgadillo’s goal late in the second to knot the game at two.

After two, 10-minute overtime periods, Hays and Great Bend parted ways for a final 2-2 tie.

The Panthers were tagged with a red card in the second half resulting in 10 players on the field for the home team for a 20 minute span.

Sophomore Kaily Griffith set up a long pass for Degadillo’s game-tying kick with five minutes remaining in regulation.

The Panthers move their record to 2-3-1 on the season and 1-2-1 in the WAC.

Great Bend will head to Liberal on April 16 before returning to the friendly confines of Cavanaugh Fields on April 21 for a date with Garden City. Both games begin at 4 pm.
