DODGE CITY— A second half shoot over by junior mid fielder Alondra Garcia was all the visiting Panthers could muster as Great Bend dropped their second straight WAC road contest Monday night in Dodge City.
In the end, the Demons would run away with a 42-shot total to defeat the Panthers 4-1. Dodge City’s defense kept the visitors well within check holding Great Bend to just five shots and posted a 23-3 advantage on shots on goal over GBHS. Panther goalkeeper Ellie Anspaugh improved on last week’s performance at Garden City finishing Monday night with 19 saves.
The loss drops Great Bend to a game below .500 at 2-3 and 1-2 in WAC competition.
The Panthers return to the friendly confines of Cavanaugh Fields today to host Hays at 4 pm.
