TONGANOXIE— Great Bend notched a win while dropping three matches at Saturday’s Toganoxie Invitational.
The Panthers fell in their opening round to tournament host Toganoxie by two set scores of 25-22 and 25-19. Great Bend then stretched into a three-set victory over Ottawa. The Panthers fell in the first set by four, 25-21 then rebounded for 26-24 and 25-20 victories to claim the match. Great Bend then dropped a two-set decision to Shawnee Mission Northwest 26-24 and 27-25 before falling to Piper, 25-17, 25-11.
Morgan Kottas and Camryn Dunekack were listed to the all-tournament team.
The Panthers return home this Saturday for tournament play. The schedule for this weekend’s tournament is listed below.
