HOME GAMES IN ALL CAPS

The Great Bend High School boys' soccer team will look to rebuild this season as they are starting a number of new players.
Most of the limited returning experience is located in the middle.
That means that the forwards and the defenders will have to adjust to the varsity level for the team to have success.
"We're getting better," GBHS head coach Gus Prieto said. "We've had two weeks of conditioning and two weeks of practice, so they're looking better.
"We just keep working. It's like we have a brand new team."
It's new on the defensive end, anyway.
"We have new defenders, new keeper," Prieto said. "We have four guys (overall) really with varsity experience, but we do have good speed."
The defense will need to come together and learn quickly for the Panthers.
"On defense, we have three juniors and one senior," Prieto said, "but they've never played varsity before.
"They're doing better than I thought."
In goal, Prieto will be relying on either Daniel Gonzalez, who has a little experience from last year, and Edgar Ramirez.
"They're both doing well," Prieto said. "I'm going to play both of them in our first game and see who does better.
"They're both good, but I wanted to see how they do in a real game against a real opponent, see who gets nervous, who does better."
That's something Prieto said he wants for each position, to see them in real competition before judging them.
At midfielder, Great Bend is most experienced.
"We have four seniors at midfielder," Prieto said. "Carlos Prado will be center mid. He was a varsity starter. There is Javier Gonzalez. He played some varsity for us last year.
"There is also Angel Aranda and Alexis Olivas. They're strong. They have good speed."
Prieto said that he is still looking at several players at forward, too, but one thing was certain, they'd be young.
"We have four guys right now," Prieto said. "Three sophomores and one senior. They have really good speed. We are fast.
"They have been playing well together."
