NATOMA — The Pawnee Heights boys and girls basketball team swept the Natoma Tournament for the first time in school history. The Tiger boys (4-0) downed Ransom-Western Plains 55-36 to finish the round-robin 3-0.
Dalton Hamby scored 19 points, Caleb Karst scored 15 points and leading scorer Kade Scott added 14 points. Coach Gustavo Flores led the Tigers to back-to-back Natoma titles. The Tigers also beat Natoma 52-37 and Palco 50-26. The boys roster also includes Gabe Oddo, Gage Myers, Cody Amspacker, Aden Gilliland, Preston Stonebarger, Carlos Cordero, Shawn Peterson and Logan Williams.
The Pawnee Heights girls (4-0) are unbeaten for the first time in recent memory for coach Kate Reece. The Tigers beat Western Plains 37-32, Natoma 44-23 and Palco 50-42.
The girls roster is Madison Polson, Cadence Nondorf, Ashlee Miller, Allison Lupfer, Stephanie Hands, Courtney Stacey, Regan Carlson, Jacelyn Salmans, Jaden Carlson, Katrie Amspacker, Nicole Roberts and Kylee Scott.
