The Great Bend Quicksilver 10-and-under softball team played in the Hays Summer Blast captured the Gold Bracket division with a 5-0 record. They defeated Colby Sweet Thunder 13-1 and Wildfire 7-1 Saturday. They defeated the Norton Stealerz 9-0 and Quicksilver Blue 8-6 and the Salina Nemesis 10-8 in extra innings to win the championship. The Quicksilver teams will compete in the Chuck Kirtley Memorial Tournament June 9-10 in Great Bend.
