ST. JOHN 80, KIOWA COUNTY 24
GREENSBURG — All-stater Dean Wade scored 20 points, had six assists and five blocked shots to spark St. John past Kiowa County 8-24 Tuesday in a non-league basketball game. The Tigers converted 33 of 45 field goals, a 73 percent average.
Cole Kinnamon scored 15 points and dished out five assists. Gera Calleros added 11 points for No. 1 ranked Class 2A St. John (18-0, 6-0 CPL). The Tigers play Macksville at home Friday.
The Tigers led 23-4 after one period and 54-8 at halftime.

NESS CITY — No. 3 ranked Class 2A Central Plains beat Ness City 66-43 in a Central Prairie League basketball game Tuesday.
Layne Bieberle led the Oilers with 20 points and Michael Ryan added 19 points. The Oilers (14-3, 5-1 CPL) led 40-29 at halftime.  Bieberle hit four 3-pointers and Ryan added a trio of 3-pointers. The Oilers play Kinsley at home Friday.
Dakota Stephen led Ness City (11-6, 3-3 CPL) with 17 points and Kyle Harris added 13 points.

MACKSVILLE — Kyle Patrick scored 23 points to spark the Otis-Bison boys past Macksville 50-27 in a Central Prairie League basketball game.  Patrick hit a trio of 3-pointers.
The Cougars (11-7, 3-3 CPL) led 26-17 at halftime and never lost control. Hayden Maier added 14 points. Macksville (6-12, 2-5 CPL) was led by Nathaniel Miller with 12 points. The Mustangs play at St. John Friday and Ellinwood visits Otis-Bison.

Marc Waite added 19 points for Ellinwood (12-6, 5-1 CPL), which plays at Otis-Bison Friday. Tyson Martinez contributed five assist and eight rebounds.
