CANTON GALVA 68, ST. JOHN 22
CANTON — Previously winless Canton-Galva stunned St. John 68-22 as quarterback Reed Wiens passed for four touchdowns and rushed for two scores. Wiens completed 10 passes for 244 yards and rushed for 100 yards. 
St. John stunned the Eagles with the game’s first touchdown for an 8-0 lead on the game’s first play from scrimmage. Wiens quickly completed a 65-yard touchdown pass from Wiens to Dylan Wood.
St. John fumbled the football away and Wood scored on a 14-yard TD for a 14-8 lead. Wood added three rushing touchdowns an 50 yards. He caught five passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns. He finished with 230 all-purpose yards.
Canton-Galva (1-5, 1-1 District) and St. John (3-3, 1-1) are tied with Goessel (4-2, 1-1) and Little River (2-4, 1-1) for second place in Eight-Man 1, District 5 behind Central Plains (6-0, 2-0).
