‘Take me out to the ball game. Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack. I don’t care if I never get back.
Let me root, root, root for the home team. If they don’t win it’s a shame.
For it’s one, two, three strikes, you’re out, at the old ball game.’
The City of Great Bend Sports Complex has been a busy venue this spring as the home to the Great Bend High School softball and baseball teams.
During Great Bend’s Western Athletic Conference baseball doubleheader today with Garden City, which starts at 4 p.m., there will be a ribbon-cutting and Grand Opening ceremony between games for the Sports Complex.
From 5 to 7 p.m., there will be a Business After Hours event taking place for all Great Bend residents and friends of Great Bend.
Partners will be providing traditional, “take-me-out-to-the-ballgame” sorts of snacks, including soft drinks, hot dogs, peanuts and Cracker Jack.
Take me out to the ball game!
