Tigers golf team wins league title

ST. JOHN — The St. John-Hudson High School boys’ golf team won a Central Prairie League title on Monday afternoon, finishing at a combined 313.
Ness City took second place with 329, Kinsley placed third at 341 and Central Plains carded a 388 for fourth.
Kade Kinnamon won an individual title, leading the Tigers with a 73. He beat teammate Spencer Nusser, who also carded a 73, in a playoff.
St. John’s Trey Nelson finished in seventh place with an 82, and Zuriel Reyes recorded 85 strokes for ninth place.
Konnor Hickey lead Central Plains as the only Oilers golfer in the top 10, taking fifth place with a 78.
