CLAFLIN — St. John High School’s Spencer Nusser turned in a 27-point performance in Tuesday night’s boys’ basketball game against Central Plains.
The Oilers led 16-14 after eight minutes, but the Tigers began to pull away in the second quarter for a 57-40 win.
Nusser, who made 9 of 11 free throws, was joined in double figures by Dean Wade, who finished with 14 points.
Layne Bieberle led the Oilers with 13 points.
St. John hosts Cunningham on Friday night.
The Oilers play again on Tuesday, Dec. 18, on the road against Larned.
