DODGE CITY — The Great Bend Middle School 8th-grade girls and 7th-grade boys finished runner-up in Tuesday’s Dodge City Cross Country Invitational. Carley Wells is the head coach for the GBMS 7th- and 8th-grade teams.
Aubrey Snapp led the Great Bend 8th-grade girls with her fourth first-place finish (13:56). Snapp also won races at Great Bend, Hays, and Haysville. Azha Elliott finished eighth (15:13).
Medalist Angel Razo captured the 7th-grade boys division (5:45) for the fifth time. Razo also won races at Great Bend, Hays, Haysville and Salina. Jonathan Pasos finished third (5:56).
The Great Bend Middle School 7th-grade girls placed third. Emilia Diaz (6:26) placed runner-up.
Kaiden Procopio finished 20th (13:35) to lead the GBMS 8th-grade boys, who finished in sixth place.
